• ACT valve: the new valve achieves a surprising increase in durability in any condition
• VAD System: Air exiting the LP-hose passes through the second stage control valve and is conveyed directly to the nozzle through the bypass tube. At the mouthpiece connector, the airflow produces a movement, or "vortex." The core of the vortex is a low pressure zone, which, during inhalation, helps to keep the second stage diaphragm depressed, greatly increasing the regulator's sensitivity. The decisive advantage of the VAD system lies in the precision of its control. The VAD supplies the inhalation effort with only the required intensity. Another advantage of the VAD system is related to the bypass tube, through which most of the air is supplied. In cold water diving, this system prevents ice crystals (which can be generated by the expansion of moist air in cold temperatures) from interfering with the proper function of the second stage components.
• DFC (Dynamic Flow Control): minimizes the drop in intermediate pressure during inhalation, thus maximizing gas delivery, especially in extreme conditions The DFC (Mares patented) system minimizes the drop in pressure that occurs in all first stages of the regulators, during inspiration. This phenomenon is even more pronounced as depth increases and as the demand for airflow from the regulator rises.
  The DFC system is an exclusive system, unique in the market, that operates in relation to the diver's actual air demand, independent of depth and tank pressure.
  The DFC system uses the Venturi effect, optimizing the regulator's sensitivity and minimizing inhalation resistance, especially during dives in extreme conditions.
