It is designed for those divers who prefer a long hose configuration in a single bottle. It is also the perfect configuration for the recreational diver who wants to move to the double set in the future, since another first stage can be added to create a double set regulator configuration.

By combining robust military engineering with the gentle breathing experience for which Apeks regulators are world famous, the MTX-RC single bottle set opens the way for you underwater.

With the same antifreeze technology as the rest of the MTX-CR range , it resists continuous flows, even in the coldest water, while offering you the additional flexibility of being able to remove it to breathe more comfortably in not-so-cold environments.

All this is achieved with the innovative design of the 1st stage that protects the regulator from freezing and a whole set of controls for the user in the 2nd stage to adjust the breathing according to the needs of each diver.

FIRST STAGE

1. Satin brass body with heat exchange ribs for maximum thermal performance.
2. The rupture, the innovative end cap of the first overmoulded stage and the environmental diaphragm help prevent the accumulation of ice that can cause the free flow of the first stage in extreme circumstances. It also protects the first stage from impact damage. The diaphragm clamp is reinforced for better heat exchange in cold water conditions.
3. Exclusive overbalanced diaphragm design: as the diver descends, the overbalance function allows the medium pressure gas in the hose to increase at a faster rate than the environment. This results in superior performance in depth.
4. 5 x medium pressure ports, 4 mounted on a rotating turret to improve the orientation of the hose.
5. 2 x angled high pressure ports for optimal hose routing and transmitter setting.
6. Double swivel hose for greater freedom of movement and comfort.
7. DIN wheel with easy grip or overmoulded yoke, only one hand is needed to release it.
8. DIN, Yoke and M26 thread available, 300bar, 232bar and M26 300bar (O2) respectively.
9. Tested for octopus use - EN250A at 60 meters of cold water.
10. Nitrox / Oxygen compatible: up to 40% of O2 outside the EU (European Union), within the EU, any amount greater than 21% of O2 must use an M26 connection.

SECOND STAGE

1. Protective bumpers to protect the second stage from impacts and scratches in the most vulnerable places.
2. Ergonomic and easy to use venturi lever.
3. The oversized breathing effort adjuster makes it easy to adjust in cold water while wearing gloves.
4. Great purge button.
5. Second reversible stage for a gas supply configuration on the left or right.
6. A heat exchanger (patented) dissipates the cold caused by gas expansion while attracting heat from the ambient water for more comfortable breathing.
7. It has an innovative Diver interchangeable exhaust system (DCE). The system gives the diver the ability to change from a small escape tee to a large escape tee. The regulator is supplied with both sets of exhaust tees .
