Book Competitors and Competitions, this is how our friend Guy Roques titled his new book, through the Sekotia Publishing House in his book collection "A Mosca", a new vision towards this sport that we are so passionate about, with an initial prologue by Josetxo Martinez, and some previous clarifications from Guy Roques where he gives us his particular vision of fly fishing and competition. In this book, the Spanish and French competition systems are analyzed, with their advantages and disadvantages.
Sipnosis:
Guy Roques wanted to analyze a reality that has manifested itself in the last decades of the 20th century, characterized by a radical evolution of fishing in general and the emergence of fly fishing competitions. Following his experience as a competitor in France and Spain, the author offers his readers a new perspective that is not a judgment for or against competitions, but the objective testimony of a fisherman witness to his time. The purpose of their purpose is demonstrated by the numerous quotations or interviews that are reviewed throughout the book, both among competitors and among those who do not compete, whether they are unknown fishermen or personalities from the world of fly fishing. As it is not typical of the author's temperament to muffle his ideas, it seemed appropriate to end the book with some interviews that he did in different media and specialized magazines, where he expresses his point of view on various topics, being very aware that they are no more what opinions person.
