Cuando vayas a comprar una bota de esquí primero debes pedir tu misma talla que en el calzado de calle.
Cuando te ponga unos calcetines de esquí, y calces ambas botas y las aprietes al mínimo, ponte de pie. Así debes notar la punta de la bota y, en flexión, el pie debe tocar la parte de atrás de la bota y no debe notar la punta.
Además, al intentar levantar el talón debes de ser incapaz de hacerlo, ya que cuando esquiamos vamos tan echados hacia delante que si no llevamos bien sujeto el talón perdemos estabilidad y transmisión al esquí.
Debes comprobar que no existen puntos de compresión y que cuando estés en flexión haya aproximadamente 1 cm entre el botín y la pantorrilla.
Consejos para elegir la mejor bota según su nivel:
  • PRINCIPIANTE. Comodidad (volumen interior cómodo), de carcasa flexible/ blanda, con un índice de flexión bajo: no más de 60.
  • MEDIO. La mejor relación comodidad/precisión, carcasa más rígida (automoldeable y autoformable), con ajustes para personalizar su bota (ganchos milimétricos, spoilers...). Índice de flexión entre 60 y 90.
  • AVANZADO. Bota ceñida al pie, carcasa dura y con ajustes para personalizar su bota (ganchos milimétricos, spoilers...). Índice de flex alto, entre 90 y 120.
