Spynerco Manix 2 XL Pocket Knife

The Spyderco Manix 2 XL , is a large version of the Manix2 with a blade that is just under four inches. The leaf is blocked by a patented Spyderco ball. The lock is composed of a free-floating steel ball bearing, enclosed in a high-tech polymer cage. When it opens, the ball bearing moves forward on the ramp of the blade where it is tucked, locking the blade securely open.
The spherical shape of the ball allows the lock to rotate freely, so that it automatically adjusts through a large surface, ensuring a smooth and secure lock-up every time it is opened. The sheet is CPM S30V, full-flat plant and has jimping 14 mm.
The liners on the inside of the G-10 handle extend beyond the scales, creating a scalloped pattern around the perimeter of the handle for additional grip. This feature allows the knife to slide in the hand and work well even with gloves. The coatings serve a dual purpose by adding stiffness and light resistance to the handle. The knife also has a large cord tube to protect various types of ropes or straps.
