Bottle care
The most important thing for the maintenance of the bottles is to have the necessary and mandatory inspections up to date. By law, these must be carried out every four years, although it is recommended that, for safety measures, they are reviewed every three years.
Para to carry out these reviews it is convenient to put yourself in the hands of specialized personnel and something very important, never make a dive with a material whose date of review has passed.
Keep in mind these tips for the care and maintenance of your tanks
- When loading them
- Never exceed the maximum allowed pressure
- Load gradually, little by little
- Para transporting them
- Do not move them when fully loaded: during transport, they may heat up, which can be dangerous
- Place them in a horizontal position, paying special attention to the taps and reserve mechanism
- Do not allow two bottles to rub against each other (scratches may occur)
- Never leave the regulators in place during transport
- Never leave them in the sun
- If you are not going to use them for a long period of time, store them in an upright position and with a 50% charge, never empty
- Pay special attention to the faucets, since a blow on them could produce a violent air leakage
- The O-ring is one of the most important parts of the bottle and therefore will require special care
- Apply anti-humidity protective Vaseline, during the seasons in which you do not use the equipment
- After using it in sea water you should clean it with fresh water and dry it, to prevent the formation of salts
