Savage 110 Elite Precision Bolt Action Rifle - 338 Lapua
The new Elite Precision model of the legendary 110 series was introduced in 2020 with the aim of taking a step forward in the world of precision tactical and sporting rifles. With a light alloy chassis like its Stealth predecessors, this model has a weight of 6.80kg. It incorporates a 30" (762 mm) long, threaded, stainless steel modified "Palm" contour floating barrel with a dual chamber muzzle brake. It has a rifling step specifically designed to obtain the highest accuracy of high Ballistic Coefficient (BC) projectiles.
The action is made of stainless steel treated externally with "melonite", which makes it particularly resistant to adverse weather conditions and scratches. Apicatinny rail with 20 MOAs of inclination rests on the action. The barrel is attached to the action by a nut system that improves the gun's accuracy, a design that survives from the 1950s.
The bolt head is floating, allowing the locking lugs to rest evenly in the recess of the action and the bolt face to have full contact with the entire cartridge head. The bolt is two-bolt, which is different from rifles with fixed bolt heads. The bolt handle allows a very smooth and fast bolt action thanks to its large size. Last but not least, the bolt has a gold-colored titanium nitride (TiN) coating that gives it a very attractive design and an extra coating that provides extra hardness, facilitates sliding, protects against metal debris and slows down the wear of moving parts.
The AccuTrigger trigger incorporates trigger safety to prevent accidental discharge. The weight is user adjustable from 1.5 lb (0.680 kg) to 4 lb (1.81 kg), with the standard weight set at approximately 1.75 lb (0.793 kg).
It is built with a CNC-machined 6061 aluminum chassis CNC machined 6061 aluminum chassis finished in gray CERAKOTE which imprints the tactical character that is so well liked. It is designed with high competition in mind and it is possible to regulate both the height of the cheek piece and the and the depth of the buttstock can be adjusted. Thanks to the graduation line references on these elements, it is easy to make minimal adjustments and return to the original position.
The recoil pad is height adjustable and there is an MDT vertical grip pistol grip with a large thumb rest shelf, allowing excellent trigger control from the firing position and a comfortable wrist position. The pistol grip is also depth adjustable, as not all fingers are the same length. The MDT chassis has an extended handguard, with ARCA-Swiss system along its entire ventral length and M-LOK attachment points on all three sides.
In terms of accuracy, it is very easy to achieve groups of five shots close to 1/2 MOA with commercial ammunition, which can be increased with a well thought-out reload. Thus, it is a perfect rifle to compete and that incorporates a very complete equipment. .

It is no secret to anyone who handles a firearm that dirt can be its worst enemy. Corrosion or the storage of foreign matter can hinder the operation of the weapon and, in the case of affecting the cartridges, cause accidents that can have serious consequences.

When the word Rifle is used, anyone, including a non-expert, evokes a classic Mauser bolt-action rifle of military type. We could say that it is the current rifle par excellence, it is the most used in any hunting modality, the most universal for its variety of calibers, weights, sizes, finishes, applications, manufacturers and prices.
It is a repeating rifle, that is to say a rifle that allows repeating the shot whose action consists of a bolt that, manually operated by a rotation and thrust movement, captures the cartridge from the magazine and introduces it into the chamber "locking it" (closing it), arms the punch or needle, to subsequently allow the shot to be fired.
The mechanism of the bolt can be variable, currently there are bolts with axial action without apparent rotation. The ammunition magazine admits a variable number of cartridges, usually 5 for non-Magnum calibers and 3 or 4 for the latter. Some models allow the use of a detachable magazine.
Repetition should never be confused with automatism.
They are the most accurate rifles and the simplest to build.
In some models, barrels of different caliber can be interchanged, in which case the long action group (Magnum calibers) and the short action group (Magnum calibers) are compatible.
Advantages
- It is the most robust and reliable of all
- High ballistic accuracy (unmatched by other repeating systems)
- The extraction and reloading mechanisms provide total operational safety
- It is slow firing, making it difficult to shoot quickly and fluently
- It is too large for long days of hunting on foot
- The manual action of the bolt unholsters the weapon at each shot, which forces the hunter to retake the aiming elements and means a loss of time that can be crucial in the second shot
- BIG HUNTING RIFLE
Para the purchase of a rifle requires a copy of the ID card and LONG GUN RIFLE PERMIT (D).
