Savage 110 Lightweight Storm Bolt Action Rifle
The Lightweight Storm is a lightweight, versatile rifle designed for stalking. It is one of the lightest models of the legendary 110 series, a series characterized by its quality, accuracy and great value for money. It has a total weight of 2.54kg thanks to the adjustments made: the spiral bolt, the lowered stock, the synthetic stock and the lightweight 508mm stainless steel barrel. The construction compared to the standard Storm model dispenses with the aluminum bedding, while keeping the recoil contained (which also contributes to its good ergonomics and the particularly soft butt pad).
The overall length of the gun is modifiable thanks to the number of spacers we use in the length of the stock and the length of pull. Unlike other models in the 110 series, it does not have an adjustable cheekpiece. Both the grip and the handguard incorporate newly designed non-slip panels with a nice new design that provides a secure and ergonomic grip. It has a removable magazine with capacity for 4 rounds. The tip is molded with angled flats, adding a certain Central European look.
The 20". barrel allows for great maneuverability and mobility for use in difficult terrain with dense vegetation, whether carrying the weapon in hand, slung over the shoulder or packed in the backpack. The stainless steel construction and synthetic stock make this magnificent rifle highly resistant to adverse weather conditions.
The trigger is the famous AccuTrigger, used in almost all of the 110 series. It incorporates a safety tab on the trigger tail called AccuRelease , which is part of a system that allows the trigger weight to be lowered even to the limit without sacrificing safety. It is an excellent trigger, which is user adjustable from 2.5 lbs (1.13 kg) to 6 lbs (2.72 kg). It provides a crisp shot, which is valid even for precision shooting. It is complemented by a three-position manual safety.
Its floating-head bolt allows self-centering during locking, resting evenly in the recess of the action and bringing the bolt face into full contact with the entire cartridge head. This gives the rifle excellent accuracy, common to the entire 110 range. The bolt face houses a sliding extractor and plunger ejector. A flange at the rear of the bolt prevents gas from reaching the shooter in the event of a cartridge case rupture.

When the word Rifle is used, anyone, including a non-expert, evokes a classic Mauser bolt-action rifle of military type. We could say that it is the current rifle par excellence, it is the most used in any hunting modality, the most universal for its variety of calibers, weights, sizes, finishes, applications, manufacturers and prices.
It is a repeating rifle, that is to say a rifle that allows repeating the shot whose action consists of a bolt that, manually operated by a rotation and thrust movement, captures the cartridge from the magazine and introduces it into the chamber "locking it" (closing it), arms the punch or needle, to subsequently allow the shot to be fired.
The mechanism of the bolt can be variable, currently there are bolts with axial action without apparent rotation. The ammunition magazine admits a variable number of cartridges, usually 5 for non-Magnum calibers and 3 or 4 for the latter. Some models allow the use of a detachable magazine.
Repetition should never be confused with automatism.
They are the most accurate rifles and the simplest to build.
In some models, barrels of different caliber can be interchanged, in which case the long action group (Magnum calibers) and the short action group (Magnum calibers) are compatible.
Advantages
- It is the most robust and reliable of all
- High ballistic accuracy (unmatched by other repeating systems)
- The extraction and reloading mechanisms provide total operational safety
- It is slow firing, making it difficult to shoot quickly and fluently
- It is too large for long days of hunting on foot
- The manual action of the bolt unholsters the weapon at each shot, which forces the hunter to retake the aiming elements and means a loss of time that can be crucial in the second shot
- BIG HUNTING RIFLE
Para the purchase of a rifle requires a copy of the ID card and LONG GUN RIFLE PERMIT (D).
