Spyderco Manix 2 XL Black Blade Pocket Knife

The Spyderco Manix 2 XL Black Blade Pocket Knife features a durable Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) blade coating, blackened clip and hardware. These liners provide a low-profile, non-reflective finish to the Manix 2 XL, a design that combines the strength and convenience of the ball bearing lock. Flat ground of premium CPM S30V stainless steel, its 3.86-inch blade is slightly longer and 25 percent thinner than the Manix's. These subtle changes improve your cutting performance by reducing drag and helping to reduce the weight of the knife.
The Manix 2 XL features a 420J2 stainless steel liner frame covered with textured black G-10 scales. Strategically placed jimping on the edges of the liners ensures a secure grip, while an open-back construction style simplifies cleaning and maintenance.
Spyderco's patented mechanism, consisting of a steel ball bearing contained in a durable textured polymer 'cage', is a Spyderco patented mechanism. When the blade is opened, a spring-loaded steel plunger moves the ball bearing forward so that it enters a ramp on the blade and a steel "anvil" on the rear spacer of the handle. Pulling the caged ball bearing to the rear releases the lock and allows the blade to close smoothly while keeping your fingers safely away from the sharp edge. Incredibly strong, smooth and easy to operate, it's also completely ambidextrous.
