Parámetros básicos que debes conocer a la hora de elegir tu esquí.<
Cuando termine la temporada nunca dejes sus esquís apoyados uno contra otro, ya que si lo haces, perderán la curva del patín. Debes dejarlos sueltos, tanto en horizontal como en vertical, y con vaselina en los cantos para evitar la oxidación.
FIJACIONES
Cómo determinar la posición en la escala DIN según su peso y tipo de esquiador:
- Línea de cota:
Viene determinada por la anchura del esquí en 3 puntos: la espátula, el patín y el talón.- TALÓN - Cuanto más estrecho, más suaves y progresivos serán los giros (mayores derrapes); cuanto más ancho, las curvas serán más cortadas y cerradas.
- PATÍN - Cuanto más ancho, más estabilidad ofrecerá, si es estrecho, proporciona cambios de cantos más rápidos.
- ESPÁTULA - Cuanto más ancho, mayor facilidad de inicio de giro.
- Radio de giro:
Es la curva natural del esquí y viene dado por sus cotas. Cuanto mayor sea el radio, el esquí está predestinado a giros más anchos. Cuanto menor sea éste, más predestinado estará el esquí a giros más cortos.
- Nivel Recreacional: Comodidad, flexibilidad y ligereza. La talla del esquí respecto a la talla del esquiador ha de ser de 20 a 5 cm.
- Nivel Sport: Esquís vivos, con buen agarre, muy estables y con excelente deslizamiento. La talla del esquí respecto a la talla del esquiador ha de ser de 20 a +5 cm, y 20 a 10 cm en slalom.
- Alto Nivel: Precisión, potencia y gran impulso. La talla del esquí respecto a la talla del esquiador ha de ser de 10 a +10 cm. (gran slalom)
- Freerider: Manejabilidad y gran agarre. La talla del esquí respecto a la talla del esquiador ha de ser de 5 a +5 cm.

- Recreacional: 3,5-4,5

- Peso 67-78 kg:
- Recreacional: 4,5-5,5
- Sport: 5,5-6,5
- Alto nivel: 6,5-8
- Peso 79 kg o más:
- Recreacional: 5,5-6,5
- Sport: 6,5-7
- Alto nivel: 7-8
- Antes de calzar la fijación, siempre debes sacudir la nieve que queda en la suela de la bota, para que la fijación trabaje correctamente.
- Cuando termine la temporada, debes poner los muelles de la talonera y puntera de la escala DIN en reposo para que a la siguiente temporada estén en perfecto estado.
