• Cañones:
  Escopeta con dos caños montados uno sobre otro. La forma en que van montados puede variar en función del modelo concreto de escopeta; pudiendo ser una unión maciza, ventilada o separada. El punto de mira es el principal elemento óptico de estos cañones tomando una importancia mayor que en el caso de la escopeta yuxtapuesta; puede ser metálico, de plástico, fluorescente o combinado y además no es raro que el arma cuente con dos puntos de mira.
• Báscula:
  Alta y estrecha. La báscula más difundida entre las escopetas superpuestas es la Anson & Deeley que se caracteriza externamente por la media platina, mientras que en la báscula Holland & Holland es entera.

  Suele utilizarse el sistema "pistolet". Es importante saber que a mayor curvatura los disparos serán más bajos y viceversa.
